Hello Barracuda Swimmers and Families! My family and I are very excited to be part of this great team! We have lived in this community since 2009. In the past I was the head coach at Potomac Station Sailfish, a Machine Aquatics coach as well as a former Head Site coach for SNOW Swimming at Ida Lee. During my over 20 years of coaching I have been fortunate to work with swimmers ranging in ages 4-24 of all abilities. I love coaching in the ODSL and look forward to starting my 11th summer in this league! It is so wonderful to share this great sport with new swimmers and see them grow from week to week. Seeing the friendships form and team spirit being passed down from age group to age group is what makes me smile the most. Off the pool deck I work for the Town of Leesburg as the aquatics supervisor! My office is in the back pool, please stop by to say hi!
My family and I are thrilled to be part of the Barracudas Community. For over 19 years, I have enjoyed coaching swimming to all swimming levels from beginning swim lessons to NCAA Division 1 Swimmers. For the last 10 years, I have been the Head Coach of the year round USA Swimming Team at the Reston YMCA. In 2023, I returned to Summer Coaching to help and lead the Potomac Station Sailfish, before joining the Barracudas last year! I cannot wait to get the swim season started. I love coaching in the water, providing positive feedback and teaching the little things that can make a big difference in the water. I also cannot wait for Donut Fridays and the Snow Cones at every home meet!
Hello Barracudas! My name is Carley Virostek, I have been a Barracuda since I was eight years old. At 13, I became a junior coach, and now I am so excited to be the Assistant Coach!! I currently go to Penn State University, where I study Cybersecurity! I'm thrilled to be able to see everyone again and help out, and I can't wait to have an amazing, fun-filled summer!
My name is Emma Karg and I have been a member of the Potomac Crossing Barracudas since 2012. I started as a Mini Barracuda before moving up to the main team. I swim competitively in both Machine Aquatics and for the Tuscarora High School swim team. I am looking forward to my second season as Associate Coach. My favorite stroke is breaststroke, and when I am not swimming I like playing the cello, hanging out with friends, and cheering on my teammates! I am looking forward to an amazing summer season!
