Hi Barracuda Families,

No Barracudas in 2027?

It may sound dramatic, but it's a real possibility.

Our swim team is 100% volunteer run. Without a functioning Board of Directors, we cannot operate. Per our bylaws, several current board members have reached their term limits and are not eligible to continue serving. As a result, we have four Board positions that must be filled before next season.

The good news is we already have two volunteers who have submitted applications for President and Treasurer. 

We still need volunteers for two Board positions:

ODSL Representative

• Represents the Barracudas at league meetings.
• Coordinates meet logistics and communicates with opposing teams before meets.
• Shares league updates with the Board.
• Helps oversee competitive team activities.

Parent Liaison

• Serves as the communication link between parents, coaches, and the Board.
• Helps answer parent questions and routes concerns to the appropriate person when needed.
• Reviews emails related to the coaches or Board to ensure they reach the right people.

These are both great positions for someone who wants to get involved and make a difference without taking on the larger responsibilities of President or Treasurer.

It truly takes a village to make our swim team successful. We hope a few more families will step forward so we can continue giving our swimmers the amazing experience they've come to love.
